Feature and Follow Friday

Yay! It's time once again for Feature and Follow Friday, an awesome weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. I haven't been able to participate in many of these lately due to other commitments, so it's nice to be back on the book blogging circuit again and to be able to participate two weeks in a row. If this is your first visit here, welcome! Kathryn's Inbox is a book review blog with a bit of a twist, I like to talk about comics and cartoons as well, and sometimes I got off on another tangent entirely. (I usually label those posts "Off Topic" so that every one knows what they're getting themselves into if they choose to keep reading.) I'm also an author and have four novels, three of which you can see in the sidebar. Anyway, enough of the shameless self-promotion, a bit part of Feature and Follow Friday is to answer a question so with no further ado ...

What were your favourite books of 2013?

Ooh. Big question this time around ... I'll try to narrow it down to just a few ...

The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead
Soul Fire by Aprille Legacy
Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosch
Mimi by Lucy Ellmann
Burial Rites by Hannah Kent
White Walls by HMC
Jump by Sean Williams (Published as Twinmaker outside of Australia.)

And ...

Behind the Scenes by Kathryn White. (Don't mind me, it's not really a shameless promotion ... I'm just being silly. Then again, I think I'm allowed at least some personal bias.)

I had to narrow down my list, too. I haven't read any of your list, but I've heard of a few of them.

Awesome! I thought that the Fiery Heart got off to a slow start, but it soon proved itself to be the best book (so far) in the series.

Never heard of that one, tell me more!

You should check them out at some stage, each is brilliant in its own way.
