Feature and Follow Friday

It's time for another Feature and Follow Friday. For those of you who don't know, Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkie's View designed to help like-minded bloggers to connect. This week's all important question is:

Q: What are you reading right now? How do you like it?

I have just started reading The Girl in Steel-Capped Boots by Loretta Hill, which is about a young, female engineer who gets sent to work on a project in a remote part of Western Australian. I'm really enjoying it so far--it's a little different to your typical rural romance.

What are you reading right now?

That sounds really interesting - my first time hearing about this one. Hope you enjoy it.
Sounds very different, how is the language in it. I have read other books set in Austrilia and had a hard time with the slang and wording.

I'm Australian, so I don't notice the slang or Australianism much unless the author uses a lot of it. So far, the book appears to be very intelligently written. If you've enjoyed other Australian novels then you will definitely enjoy this one.

The setting is brilliant. It's wonderful to read about such a different part of Australia. I really like the female lead as well--I prefer romance novels where the lead character does something other than work in a city office.

Maybe something new to add to your to-read list? I will post a review soon.

New follower here!

I've never even heard of this one! Is it supposed to be historical... or more fiction that actual history?
